Arboretum Walking Tour

In the summer of 2009 and 2010 Giorgina Alfonso ('12), Nick Gonsalves ('11), and Bobby Mullin ('11) developed a walking tour to highlight trees of special interest on our campus. The tour identifies seventy species along a half-mile trail that includes the Grove, a remnant forest that dates to the 1770s, and the original campus that was constructed within it, represented by Roberts, Taylor, and Larison Halls.

The tour is 1.5 miles long and takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Unfortunately, many parts of the tour are not wheelchair accessible. Use caution when traversing unpaved areas and streets.
