| To
ensure the centralization of all company documents necessary to
produce projects such as Operating Plans, Company Summary and
Archives, the Reports and IS division is establishing policies
and procedures to which all of the employees must adhere. These
policies and procedures are explained in detail below.
- All of the company documents must be posted
on the company public space available on the Netscape server,
in order for everyone in the company to be able to access them.
- E-mail will be the primary means of company-wide
communication. Through the MyBucknell Groups section, company
members have access to everyonefs email addresses and can send
company-wide emails.
- The company drop-box will be used to submit
documents necessary for company projects. The file name has to
be formatted as follows: Division ? Document Title ? Employee
Name.
- Documents will be submitted using the available
company templates (General Template available in portrait and
landscape format, Job Description Template and Meeting Minutes
Template). The font to be used is the following: Arial 11 (Bold,
Underlined) ? for headings; Arial 10 (No Bold, No Italics, No
Underlined) ? for Body Text. Bullets can be used as necessary.
- Announcements have to be submitted either
via drop-box or e-mail and the Director of IS will post them in
the our company website by the end of the respective day.
- Instructions on accessing the company public
space and drop-box:
If you are using school computers
follow this section:
- Go to
"My Computer.
If you are using your own
computers follow this section:
- Click
on the "Start" button
- Click
on "Run"
- Type "//netspace"
in the pop up box then click ok
- Type in
your Bucknell-assigned user name and password, and then click
ok.
After finishing the appropriate
steps above:
1. Click
on the "Projects" drive or folder
2. Click
on the "mgmt101fall2005" folder
3. Click
on the "mgmt101b" folder (our company space)
4. Inside
it you will see three other folders (drop-box, templates and www)
5. Then
you can put the file you want to submit into the "drop-box"
folder. (simply gdragh each file and put it in the folder).
