A Synopsis of the Business Project:

For our business project, Cups?...Nope, Pints! has
decided to sell Bucknell pint glasses. Katie Casteel,
our Advertisement and Promotions Manager, has
come up with a great design that is both simple and
classy, which will appeal to students, faculty, and alumni
alike. Our Purchase and Inventory Manager, Sarah
Surgala, has negotiated a favorable purchasing contract
with our supplier, Bel Inc. (discountmugs.com), a
Florida-based company specializing in custom glassware.
We will purchase 500 of the glasses from Bel Inc., a
number that was determined by very promising market
research conducted by Pat McCrann, our Marketing
Director. The glasses will be sold at a price of $8 per glass
or $30 for a set of four, using the sales strategy developed
by Rick Carolan, our Sales Manager. We are confident that our business project will demonstrate the level of success that Cups?...Nope, Pints! anticipates. This will allow us to fully fund our service project at the YMCA and thereby continue to strengthen the relationship between the Bucknell community and the greater community of Milton.

A Synopsis of the Service Projects: The service division of Cups?... Nope, Pints! will take on three different projects at the Milton YMCA. Our plan is to enhance the YMCA by refurbishing the entrance to their Warehouse Café – their center for high school kids – by re-painting and cleaning up the entrance. In addition we will be decorating the walls of their teen dance center in the basement of the YMCA. We will contact the kids who use the teen dance center at one of their T.G.I.F. theme nights and decide on a design for the walls. As a company we will then find the image that they desire, or create an interesting design, and use a projector to put the image on the wall. With the image projected on the wall we will trace the image and paint it onto the wall. The third phase of our service project will involve hosting one of the T.G.I.F. theme nights, which will allow the company to meet the kids we are serving. We hope that our work at the YMCA will accomplish two things; attract more kids to the YMCA because of its new and clean look, and help the University continue its bond with the Milton YMCA.
